Read the passage below and answer questions 7 to 12
Water is one of the most important natural resources on earth. About 71 percent of the earth's surface is covered by water. However, only about 3 percent of this water is fresh water that can be used for drinking.
Many communities face water scarcity, especially during dry seasons. This has led to conflicts between communities sharing water sources. Governments have been drilling boreholes and building dams to address the water shortage.
Conserving water is everyone's responsibility. Simple actions like closing taps when not in use, harvesting rainwater, and recycling water can make a big difference. We must protect our water sources from pollution to ensure clean water for future generations.
