Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow
Water is one of the most important things in our lives. We use it every day to drink, cook, wash, and clean. Plants need water to grow, and animals need it to stay alive. Without clean water, people can become very sick. This is why we must all learn to use water wisely and never waste a single drop.
Sadly, many people leave taps running while brushing their teeth. Others let water spill from broken pipes for days. In some places, rain is scarce and rivers are drying up. When we waste water, there may not be enough left for everyone in our community. Saving water helps families, schools, and even the animals around us.
There are many simple ways to save water at home. We can close the tap tightly after using it. We can collect rainwater in clean tanks during the rainy season. We can also use the same water to clean the floor and then water the garden. Even small actions, when done every day, can make a very big difference.
Teachers and parents should teach children why water is so precious. When children learn good habits early, they grow up to protect this gift. If everyone works together, our rivers will stay full and our wells will never run dry. Remember, every drop of water we save today helps build a better tomorrow for all.
