In the heart of the forest lived a clever little hare named Sungura. He was small, but he was known by all the animals for his quick thinking. While the lion was strong and the elephant was large, none could solve a problem as fast as Sungura. The other animals often came to him whenever they were in trouble.
One dry season, the rivers and ponds began to disappear. The animals grew thirsty and worried. They searched everywhere but found no water to drink. The big animals tried to dig holes with their feet, but the ground was too hard. Soon, even the strongest among them began to lose hope under the burning sun.
Sungura thought carefully. He remembered a deep cave at the foot of a hill where cool water always dripped from the rocks. He led the animals there along a hidden path. To their great joy, they found a pool of fresh water inside the shady cave. The animals drank happily and thanked the clever hare.
From that day, the animals understood that being strong was not always enough. Sometimes a sharp mind could solve a problem that strength could not. They treated Sungura with great respect and listened carefully whenever he spoke. The little hare had taught them an important lesson about the power of wisdom.
