Juma loved drawing pictures during his free time. At first, his drawings did not look very good. His classmate Baraka would laugh and say, "Your pictures look like scribbles." However, this did not stop Juma because his art teacher always encouraged him to keep practising.
With time, Juma's drawings improved and many people admired them. One day, the county education officer visited their school for a talent show. The headteacher showed her Juma's drawing of a lion.
"This is wonderful! Who drew this?" asked the officer. "It is the work of Juma, a boy in Grade 6," the headteacher replied. The officer gave Juma a set of colouring pencils as a reward. Baraka later said sorry to Juma, and they became good friends.
