Kamau, Wambui, Otieno, Aisha and Njeri are Grade 6 learners who are friends. During the school holidays, Kamau and Otieno spend time helping their parents with farming while Wambui and Aisha help with cooking at home. Njeri enjoys reading storybooks from the school library.

On weekends, all five friends come together to play football in the field near their school. After the game, they sit under a big mango tree and share stories about what they did during the week. They all agree that helping at home is important because it teaches them responsibility.
